Jon + Katy
German village Engagement Session | Columbus Ohio
I met up with Jon and Katy in the fall time for their engagement session last year. They are getting married on a date that I was already booked for, but I was so lucky to be able to do their engagement session! We had a total blast running around German Village and then over to Schiller Park. We started off around The Bookloft and the gorgeous little alleyway that are right around there. Seriously, how can you now love German Village? I have been to German Village several times for engagement sessions in the summer and fall and it is still so gorgeous each and every time. It always looks a little bit different depending on what the trees are doing and bushes. I love the charm of all the houses and their architecture. It is one of the best places to photograph if you want nice treelined streets, architecture and be in the city! We chatted while we walked over to Schiller Park. The walk is a mile or maybe a little under a mile – but we chatted and chatted… stopped a couple of times to take some more pictures and then continued on to the park! They also changed outfits and I adore both of their outfits!
I am so happy that I got the chance to meet them and photograph their engagement session. Usually, when I am booked for a couple’s wedding date, I never hear from them again. This was so nice to be able to get to know them and photograph their session even though I am not available for their actual wedding. If you are someone that is having your wedding on a day that I am already booked but still loved my images. I am always able to do your engagement session or a day after session. If you have never heard of a Day After session – it is very similar to an engagement session… only you are wearing your wedding attire! You get another use out of your dress and can do your hair up again! Your guy gets into his gorgeous tux or suit and away we go to take amazing pictures! It is a nice way to get even more pictures of the two of you together in your wedding attire. I love them! We did one ourselves when we got married in North Carolina to take advantage of all the gorgeous locations and scenery in the outer banks.
