Photography Mentor Sessions

One of the best decisions I made in my business was to sign up for a coaching session with a mentor I absolutely adored. It was a huge investment, and one that I thought about long and hard. I knew where I was in my business, but I was just floundering a bit on where I wanted to go, where I needed to go and the steps to get there. Scott and I talked it over one evening and we agreed it was a good decision for what I needed. So, I signed up and it was one of the best decisions ever!

I am a firm believer that you can never be finished when it comes to education. You can always be learning new tidbits, learning new photography programs or reading business books. Learning never ends with photography.

I have always loved teaching, and I love educating couples and other photographers. I receive several emails every week asking about photography and general small business questions. I have met with other photographers over coffee to chat about their business and where they would like to see their business go.

I do this because I truly love helping photographers. These sessions have been mini-mentoring sessions and I have loved them, and I love seeing the impact the session has on their business. It brings me so much joy to see them succeed and grow in their photography.

When I was starting out there weren’t a lot of photography forums, photography business classes, education classes, Facebook groups, etc. – there was none of that! Photographers that have started their business in the past two years have much more education available at their fingertips. It can actually be overwhelming at times because there is always a new class, new workshop or a new four-week program that is going to get you primed for your first wedding season. It is nuts! I feel like the photography business has gone 180 degrees from what it used to be like – instead of no information on how to run a photography business, there is a ton of information on how to run a photography business and it is hard now to figure out what to invest in and where to start. I love the fact that photography, as an industry, has grown so much over the past 10 years and I am excited for the new photographers that are just starting, or those that started in the past couple of years.

I learned from the very start of my business to invest in myself. Investing in yourself looks very different for each individual; it is unique to you. Investing in yourself could be taking a four-week workshop to perfect new skills and get little golden nuggets of information on how to brand yourself, how to market yourself, editing tips, etc. Investing in yourself could also be sitting down one-on-one with a mentor to figure out a plan that is tailored exactly to your needs and your business.

The education of the masses is great and there are lots of golden nuggets in four-week courses or in one online course, but having a mentoring session that is completely catered to you and your needs is amazing. You leave the session with an action plan, clearly defined goals, a list of things to do and a timeline for getting things done. You come away from the session with a clearly defined path instead of a notebook full of notes that you might never look at again or maybe look at for two weeks until you lose your motivation.

I want you to succeed. I want you to grow your business. I want you to take beautiful photographs and give your clients an amazing experience.

The exciting news is that I am now officially offering mentoring sessions to photographers and small creative business owners! I have done what I like to call mini-mentor sessions over the years and loved them. I want to expand on the mini-mentorships and really provide a full service to photographers and other smaller creative business owners.

I will be having two mentor sessions per quarter as of right now. If there is a higher demand, I will be including more sessions in the winter months when our wedding schedule is lighter. A mentor session will be a half day, and will include head shots of you (yay! new bio pictures!). I will sit down with you and we will go over anything you want to discuss in relation to your business.

This time is completely yours to ask whatever you would like, get feedback from me, dive into your business and come away from the session with a clear path of what actions you can take now, what actions you will be working on, how you will be working on them, and goals for the future.

I will also do check-ins with you after our session to see how everything is coming along and make sure you are staying on track. There will be two, one-hour phone conversations with you in the months after your session to see if anything needs to be tweaked or new goals need to be set if you have crushed through the original list.

This is truly an opportunity to get your business where you want it to be, and it is an experience that goes far beyond what is offered in traditional photography courses.

I am so excited about this news and I really want to make it affordable to both photographers who have been in business for five years or 10 years that just need help, as well as those just starting out and need guidance. No topic is off limits during this session!

So I hope you take advantage of an introductory price I am offering for one week only!

Instead of the normal $375 for a mentoring session, the cost during this week will only be $175…. Yes… You read that right –more than 50% off!

THIS WEEK ONLY!

I might be a little crazy… okay yes, I am crazy for almost giving away these mentoring sessions. But I really want to make myself and the knowledge I’ve gained over the past ten years available to you. Besides, it brings me such joy to help and teach other photographers.

Contact me   to schedule your mentoring session! I can not wait to help your business succeed!
