Kendall and Chad had a gorgeous Scioto Mile Engagement Session in Columbus, Ohio.  I was so excited when we all got together for the session because she mentioned she wanted some flowers blooming.  In Ohio… in April is sometimes hard to come by!  Last year I would have said super easy because it was such a warm spring.  This spring though has seriously been so cold… it’s like the winter that will never end.

Scioto Mile and Schiller Park

I was so excited to find out the day before the session that there was a patch of redbuds blooming by Scioto Mile behind Cosi.  SCORE! So excited!  I couldn’t wait to get to those trees, but I was hoping for something else blooming at Schiller Park.  We started the session a Schiller Park in German Village and found an adorable little redbud tree that we used.  We also had some photos of their 2 adorable doggies!  I love it when couples bring their pets!! Seriously, when is the last time that you had nice photos with your dogs taken? Never probably. I am always so happy to include them in the engagement session!

We photographed around Schiller Park and the adorable little redbud tree – then Kendall and Chad did a quick change while I photographed her engagement ring.  We ended the session by shooting on the bridge at Scioto Mile and then went over to the little redbud tree patch that is near Cosi.  It might seriously be my favorite little patch of redbuds from now on!  I will have to remember it in the next couple of years in case anyone wants some super early blooming spring flowers.  I had such a blast running around with them and I am so happy Kendall was able to come in from Chicago that weekend and we had a gorgeous Monday to do the session!   Enjoy some photos from their engagement session!
